A few days ago temps at the Bucket were around 60. The World Cup came and went. Lots of G's and Hawkers took off after a festive holiday weekend. It looked like a slow week ahead. Even the Monday Night Football match up----- seemed dull. Seattle/GB---who cares. Except for all the snow pouring down in Seattle. Aspen Spin checked the Doppler 4-20 and YES!!! it's heading right for us.
The first day we'll unofficially call it 12" to 15". School was closed and every kid in the Valley was up at AJAX. It was snowing really hard and a bit nippy, around 15 and quite windy----but deep and soft. The storm sort of settled in and the snow continued ALL NIGHT LONG!!! BI-ATCHS.
Day 2---we'll call it another foot. Colder, more wind, better skiing. More than 2 feet of FRESH. A mostly local crowd raced for the steeps. Aspen Spin can verify that the "floating sensation" that all skiers are addicted to was available ....IN ABUNDANCE!!! More snow tonight---it could happen, so check A-SPIN for all the new PIX and FLIX. Send us some of your own. Click the POW POW,WOW photo album for the PIX.
